The Third Men are a tough and abrasive yet soft and cuddly band
from Omaha, Nebraska.

They are:

Mike Tulis: Bass Guitar
Matt Bowen
: Percussion
Dana Rouch
: Keyboards
Matt Rutledge
: Vocals, Guitar
Patrick White
: Vocals, Guitar

Formed in the despondent haze that followed the 2004 presidential elections,
the group got together at the behest of bassist Tulis –– who, at the time, felt he
wasn't really participating in the Omaha music scene to the utmost of his abilities.

After much discussion, the group settled on the moniker The Third Men,
a deliberate (if ungrammatical) nod to messrs. Welles, Greene and Lime.

In early 2005, the group added talented multi-instrumentalist Rouch to the lineup, shoring up their wall of sound. The boys' willingness to accept her decidedly girlish gender was facilitated by her ability to belch like a sailor. Bowing to the pressures of an ever-growing family, founding skinsman Loftus left the band in the summer of 2007. His duties have been assumed by Omaha scene veteran Matt Bowen.
